What is the material Solid Surface?
Solid Surface is the collective name for composite materials that are colored in mass. They are solid and homogeneous and can be used for demanding applications.
All Solid Surface products have Aluminum trihydrate (ATH) as a basic ingredient. Acrylic or polyester resins are used as a second component and binder.
Aluminum hydroxide gives the material a high rigidity and also makes it more heat resistant than other plastics.
Acrylic and/or polyester provides a flexibility that mainly results in good workability and high impact resistance and strength.

Maintaining the Solid Surface material
For normal cleaning, you can use a natural cleaning agent, think of green soap, cleaning vinegar. If a scratch occurs in the material, you can 'polish' the material again by using a sponge and Cif. This can be done by making circular movements over the surface. Then rinse the cleaned surface thoroughly with lukewarm water and wipe dry with a clean soft cloth.
